    Position:  Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) Programmer

    Experience: Years of Experience: 1-5 years with Bachelor’s Degree

    Clearance: Ability to receive SECRET Clearance required

    Location: Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland



    POSITION DUTIES:

    Serves as a Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) Programmer, supporting computational architectures at the U.S. Army Research Laboratory Computational and Information Sciences Directorate (CISD) in Aberdeen, Maryland. CISD is the principle Army organization for research and development in information technologies and computational sciences.  CISD conceives, exploits, matures, and transitions novel concepts and technologies in the areas of information technologies and computational sciences to enhance the lethality and survivability of America’s ground forces. The candidate will conduct load Verilog circuit designs into Xilinx FPGAs.  The candidate will test designs by exercising circuitry, running designs, verifying results.  Documentation of findings through written reports, journal articles, technical reports, and/or conference presentations and proceedings will be required. Experience working with and loading circuitry using Verilog and VLSI required.

     

    Skills:

    Experience with Xilinx FPGA configuration and toolchain including VIVADO.

    Strong written and oral communication skills required.  Strong knowledge and usage of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.  Ability to prepare correspondence and reports. 

     

     

    Ability to work independently and follow through with requirements with minimal guidance or supervision. Must be able to adjust to changing priorities. Must be composed and effective under the pressure of heavy workloads, time sensitive demands, or changing conditions, while remaining tactful, diplomatic, considerate of views of others, effective as a team player.
