    Position:  Process Designer

    Experience: Years of Experience: 1-5 years with Bachelor’s degree

    Clearance: Ability to receive SECRET Clearance required

     

    Location: Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland
     

     

    POSITION DUTIES:

    Serves as a Process Designer, supporting computational architectures at the U.S. Army Research Laboratory Computational and Information Sciences Directorate (CISD) in Aberdeen, Maryland. CISD is the principle Army organization for research and development in information technologies and computational sciences.  CISD conceives, exploits, matures, and transitions novel concepts and technologies in the areas of information technologies and computational sciences to enhance the lethality and survivability of America’s ground forces. The candidate will troubleshoot and modify existing VLSI and Verilog CPU designs. Participate in teams to define specialized computer architecture designs. Implement designs in VLSI. Work with Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) programmer to test designs by exercising circuitry, running designs, verifying results. Documentation of findings through written reports, journal articles, technical reports, and/or conference presentations and proceedings will be required.

     

    Skills:

    Experience with the layout of electronic circuitry using Verilog and VLSI. Knowledge of Cadence is a plus. Strong written and oral communication skills required.  Strong knowledge and usage of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.  Ability to prepare correspondence and reports. 

     

     

    Ability to work independently and follow through with requirements with minimal guidance or supervision. Must be able to adjust to changing priorities. Must be composed and effective under the pressure of heavy workloads, time sensitive demands, or changing conditions, while remaining tactful, diplomatic, considerate of views of others, effective as a team player.
