Senior Cyber Exercise/Test Planner


Serve as a Cyber Exercise/Test Planner responsible for ensuring successful planning, execution, and evaluation of both internal and external discussion-based and operations-based cyber exercises and test events. Responsible for all assigned and/or implied tasks related to the planning, management, coordination, execution, and review of all Cybersecurity assessments of critical C4I systems, networks, processes, procedures, and capabilities during Combatant Command (CCMD) and Service exercises and Mission Assurance Assessments. Responsible for designing, planning, and executing exercise scenarios that achieve key cyber objectives. Conduct post-exercise after-action reporting and analysis, synthesize corrective actions, and implement tracking/monitoring of progress to measure improvements and design future exercises to test those improvements.


  • Demonstrated experience in designing, planning, executing and assessing cyber exercises, mission assurance assessments and cyber capabilities
  • Deep knowledge of, and experience working within, the Department of Defense
  • Experience performing cyber threat analysis of adversary techniques, tactics, and procedures used to disrupt computer networks
  • Experience with cyberspace domain analysis
  • In-depth knowledge of cyber capabilities and the Joint Operational Planning process to Identify, track, and resolve issues impacting cyber tests, training, and exercises.
  • In-depth experience and understanding of DOT&E Cybersecurity Assessment processes and procedures
  • Experience developing and presenting briefs to senior leaders and managers
  • Excellent writing skills and ability to communicate effectively
  • Problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure



  • 15+ years’ experience in a broad range of assignments in technical tasks directly related to the proposed area of responsibility
  • CompTia Sec+ as a minimum
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related filed is desired but not required.
  • Top Secret clearance with SCI Eligibility is required
