Serves as a Defense Forensic Science Center (DFSC) Forensic Exploitation Directorate (FXD) Forensic Technical Representative (FTR) in support of United States Southern Command (SOUTHCOM), Miami, FL. The FTR will provide forensic knowledge, expertise and advice to SOUTHCOM staff concerning collection, preservation and exploitation of material. Provides subject matter expertise on Forensic Exploitation Capabilities. Integrate forensic standards and capabilities between SOUTHCOM and Partner Nations (PNs), while representing DFSC-FXD’s capabilities.
Security Clearance: Current DoD TS/SCI
Education/Experience: Bachelors Degree with ten (10) years of experience supporting the forensic and biometric community to include working for Intelligence and Law Enforcement agencies such as NGIC, the FBI, USACIL or other forensic laboratories; 10 years of additional experience may be substituted in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree. Experience in a deployed environment in support of a named operation is desired. Experience in forensics evidence collection or site exploitation is desired. Must have experience preparing and presenting technical reports, cases and briefings. Strong oral and written communication skills preferred.
