EVC is seeking a proven sales professional to serve in the role of Business Development Manager, who will cover business development efforts in the Cybersecurity and Assymetric Warfare / Biometrics communities. The key responsibility in this role will be to generate new revenue streams for the company through outbound sales activities focused on new and adjacent programs and contracts.
Identify, qualify and capture new business opportunities and new customers following the industry standard capture process
Manage targeted accounts; build value-added relationships with customer contacts; and collaborate closely with other company members to close new business opportunities, visit clients, and review overall revenues
Develop strategies to build a pipeline, generate new opportunities, and manage all aspects of account/territory growth and customer relationships across all levels of the account(s)
Understand the customer organizations; budgets; near-term, mid-term and long-term opportunities; required investments; and the applicability of EVC capabilities and technology to agency requirements
Work closely with customers to identify and shape near-term and long-term requirements
Serve as the principal liaison point of contact with all key customers within assigned market segment and perform ongoing assessments of customer requirements, determine market trends, and develop strategies that align the customer’s needs/opportunities with EVC capabilities and discriminators
Assess EVC's market position versus competitors in the market segment by assessing their strengths, weaknesses and vulnerabilities
Identify sufficient business prospects to meet both near and long-term business requirements, work closely with business units and divisions to determine common relationships required to scale in this market, and prepare comprehensive market/account plans while providing an atmosphere of positive teamwork
Lead the operational capture and proposal response effort, coordinating with other departments to write a compelling, compliant and priced-to-win response
Lead efforts for indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) identification, teaming, capture, task distribution and delivery
Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of business acquisition experience within DoD contracting arena
Expertise in Cybersecurity, Assymetric Warfare and Identity Operations, preferably in the DoD communities
Proven programmatic experience on industry programs, and an understanding of, and experience bidding and winning in, the DoD.
Proven excellent written and verbal communications, presentation skills, organizational and time management skills, and a strong sales/marketing presence
Experience should include capture participation, proposal generation, technical presentations, price-to-win inputs, and cost-justification skills in complex deals that require the formation and integration of multiple team members
Must be able to present complex technical concepts to senior management, line management, and customers at varying levels of understanding
Must be experienced at briefing senior executive customers and corporate officers
Must be willing to travel up to 25 percent
